Soothie Suckers Review & Flash Giveaway

Are you worried about your child’s immune system? The “cold” months are among us and GERMS are every where!!! Thank goodness I no longer have to worry about “public school germs” but before I started home schooling my oldest son, I worried ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, during cold season, that some other parent sent their kid to school sick and that kid was going to cough or sneeze cold germs and they would somehow travel into my son (airborne, that’s the kid my son happened to “high 5” that day, or even could be one of his friends he pushes on the swing set at recess, who knows)…Bizarre?, maybe…Likely?, highly…

If you are like me then you don’t like to medicate yourself unless absolutely necessary and “necessary” is ONLY cause you feel like you are on your “death bed”. And I R-E-A-L-L-Y DON’T LIKE TO MEDICATE MY KIDS!!!!!!! I don’t like to see them sick or suffering either but I only use your basic Infant/kids Tylenol in most cases & that’s if there is a “Fever” involved…I am that mom that says…”Hey, are the symptoms really worse than the (medicine’s) side effects?” and then ponder on it…

So I got the chance to try Soothie Suckers with my boys…

What’s In The Bible: Volume 10 Jesus Is the Good News! review

OK, so I don’t push religion on anyone…and if you have kids with special needs (especially ODD) you know that the more you push anything on them, the more they REBEL against it. I even remember wanting to attend church as a child but being BORED outta my mind once the preacher began and trying to stay awake was what kept me “in tune”.

So I’m always looking for FUN, ENTERTAINING ways to teach my kids about the Bible, God, and Jesus. And once again if you have kids with special needs, you probably also know or can agree that anything with MUSIC helps keep their attention and retain the information.

So when I was extended the option to watch

What’s in the Bible? Vol 10: Jesus is the Good News

from VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer I replied quickly, reserving my spot.

When the DVD arrived my mom wanted to watch it too, so me, her and the boys made a movie date. My mom wasn’t really religious as I was growing up but she got “saved” within the past 10 years, joined the church and attends every Sunday now. She jumps on any opportunity to watch any movie about the Bible, cartoon or not, so she can possibly understand the Bible more than she does by reading it.

The DVD includes (2) 25-minute episodes: God’s Perfect Timing & The Messiah Has Come!. The first episode shows as Buck Denver, the puppet news reporter, and his crew learn about the 400 years between the Old and New Testaments and how Jesus arrives at just the perfect time. The second episode goes to teach you about the life and ministry of Jesus–how He died for us and rose again to launch the kingdom of God in the world and in us!

and none of this can go on without their catchy theme song…

which I caught myself singing along to…

My mom and I learned things alongside the boys that neither of us recalled hearing before so do I recommend this video???

YES, I Do and I hope to acquire more Volumes of this series for my boys too

Gecko Monitor Software Review & Giveaway

~~ Giveaway Ends 09/18/14 @ 10 pm EST ~~

Do you feel the need to monitor the activity on your home computer(s), whether other users know about it or not? Well now you can with Gecko Monitor Software which runs in “stealth mode”.

Maybe you are the parent of a tween or teenager who has been surfing the net more than usual or simply exhibits odd behaviors before, during, or after using the computer. Maybe you have a spouse that you think is doing something (cheating, gambling, etc) but you want to be sure you’re right before possibly putting your foot in your mouth. Maybe you run your own business and need to monitor employee production or activity; Or maybe you are just an over protective mother or a “control freak” who has to know EVERYTHING that happens in your house…then this is definitely the product for you.

This is by far the easiest software I have ever installed. It also gives you a 2 hour free trial. In order not to give away the program in my home, I waited till I knew I would need to be on the computer doing various activities for 2 hours, give or take, then I used the free trial to monitor myself…WOW, I was able to see everything I had done!

***Yes, I was compensated with a Software License Key of my own from Gecko Monitor in exchange for this review/giveaway  BUT I used the free trial as so I could give you my honest opinion based on what my readers would have to sample ***

Now my oldest son is only 9 but this program makes me feel so much better about him being online with his home school program without me standing “Guard” over him the entire time. Not saying anything negative about his home school program because it is nothing but wonderful but my son has ADHD, ODD, & Dyslexia so he could click on anything at any given moment and God only knows what that could be…

So if this sounds like software your family could use then why not visit Gecko Monitor and start your free 2 hour trial NOW…then head back here & Enter to Win a Free Software License Key.

During the 2 hour trial you will learn that the software does the following:

~Takes screenshots of all windows & websites.
~Logs every application used and tells you when it was used.
~Logs every website visited and tells you when it was visited.
~Reports what was typed into every application & website.
~Monitors all printed documents, including times printed.
~Emails reports to you remotely & secretly, at times set by you.
~Innovative timeline feature – an easy to understand timeline of events.
~Monitors all file activity, including saved, opened & deleted files.
~Does all of this completely hidden, un-hides with a secret key combo
